Born in Tulancingo, Hidalgo, Mexico. Griselda began her formal training under the guidance of her mother, Kasandra Martell, her brother, Arturo Tello, is also a gifted artist.
Although painting is my first love, assemblage art figures have become an essential spiritual practice.
I love the process of sculpting with polymer clay and working with textiles, yarn, fibers and beading; creating a context where magic begins. I've been inspired by many cultures where small figures or dolls were made symbolic of the sacredness of life and creativity.
Griselda's art represents over 45 years of painting and teaching experience. The moments she captures on canvas convey the magical time of day when objects are most apparent and evoke a sense of peace and being transported into a place of gentle beauty.
